Plans & Billing

Manage your subscription under Dashboard → Billing. There you can see your current plan, what you've used this month, and upgrade or change plans.

Free trial

The 7-day trial is optional and starts with a card, not at signup: a new account begins on the Free plan, and the trial starts only when you subscribe to a plan and enter card details. Nothing is charged during those 7 days.

During the trial you get the limits of the plan you chose plus all Premium features, and the "Powered by BotChata" badge stays. On day 8 the plan you chose is billed automatically — cancel any time before that under Dashboard → Billing. One trial per account.

  • Agents — the number of distinct chatbots you can create.
  • Indexed characters — total content across all your agents (this replaces a page count — what matters is how much text is indexed, not how many pages).
  • Bot replies — how many answers your bots generate per month.

What each plan unlocks

  • Base — Booking, Custom API Actions, Custom Forms, custom AI behavior/persona, plus calendar and shipping integrations.
  • Business — Human Handoff, AI Insights, the AI Widget Builder, footer HTML, auto-retrain, product cards, bring-your-own-key, and e-commerce / CRM / payment integrations.
  • Premium — API access and the detailed AI Insights page.
  • Enterprise / Agency — white-label (remove the BotChata badge) and unlimited usage.

Feature locks in the dashboard

If a control shows a 🔒 Upgrade badge, that feature needs a higher plan. Clicking it takes you to the Billing page. If you downgrade, gated features (like white-label or a custom footer) revert automatically — no data is lost, the feature just turns off until you upgrade again.

Usage limits

  • Agents are checked when you create a new one.
  • Characters are checked during indexing — if a crawl would exceed your account's character budget, the overflow is dropped before it's stored.
  • Bot replies are counted per month at chat time.

Your current usage is shown on the Billing page and in your account header.

Billing & payments

Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and issues the invoice. You are charged in US dollars or euro, depending on your country — the price shown on our pricing page is the price you pay, with no conversion added at checkout. Customers in Ukraine are billed in hryvnia through WayForPay instead.

Paying takes place in a payment window that opens over the Billing page — you are never sent to another site. You can pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay; which of them appear depends on your country and browser.

Changing plan

Pick another plan on the Billing page and the change applies to your existing subscription — you are never billed for two plans at once.

  • Upgrading takes effect immediately. You pay the difference for the remainder of the current period, not a full new month.
  • Downgrading takes effect immediately as well, and the difference is settled on your next invoice rather than refunded mid-month.

Invoices, cancelling and refunds

Manage subscription on the Billing page opens Paddle's customer portal, where you can update your card, download invoices and cancel. Cancelling stops the renewal — your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops to Free. Nothing is deleted: your agents, content and conversations stay, only the paid limits and features turn off.

Refunds are covered in section 9 of our Terms of Service. Enterprise is custom-priced — contact sales for a quote.

Need an agency/reseller arrangement (multiple client bots under one account, white-label, referral commission)? Those are handled separately — get in touch.
